Snow Day!!

When your client asks you to meet them at a remote campground, deep into the Rocky Mountains on a snowy January day, you say yes!!

Sam and Jordan had every detail covered in their preparations for their engagement shoot. They wanted an outdoorsy, snowy camping feel, so we drove out to Deer Creek Campground in Bailey, on a VERY snowy Colorado day.

They brought firewood, a string of lights, hot cocoa, their dog Wilson and they rented a generator! Well, as it goes, the snow temporarily stopped and the generator never worked, so it appeared that the string lights were a no-go. Then Jordan tried ONE last idea, and it sort of worked. He plugged them into the truck and they turned on, but they flashed every 3 seconds. So every 3 seconds I would snap a photo. Some photos came out and some didn’t but it was definitely a first for me! LOL!

After that, everything went well, and it did finally snow on us and it was magical. Congrats to the happy couple - I can't WAIT to photograph your wedding!
