What is Soulshine?

Being a photographer is natural for me :) Due to my eye for the unexpected, deep sense of patience and understanding, and having a people personality with a knack for offering direction in a firm, but fun way! I think anyone can take a “decent” photo these days, but having the personal skills that help put clients at ease, to work through a tense situation that arises at a wedding (yep, put that many family members together and it happens sometimes), or working with a toddler who isn’t interested in smiling for the stranger behind the lens, is KEY! You have to have people skills to make a magical photo and that is part of what makes a Soulshine photo stand out from the rest!

I have photographed over 100 weddings and countless families over the last 15 years. Say whuuuut??? Yep, it’s hard to believe even for me!

Included in that 12 years, I have also obtained a master’s degree, had four children (one set of twin girls), have rescued multiple dogs, gotten married, attended 100’s of concerts, and hiked, camped and skied to my little heart’s content.
